It's rare when a 17-year-old knows what he wants to do, but that was certainly the case when Dominic Cicero left his home in Vancouver, WA, for Bandol, France, to attend the famous Winfield Racing School. Despite a language barrier and significant culture shock, Dominic Cicero became a natural, winning the 1998 Winfield Pilote Elf Competition by the largest margin in the history of the contest. While the desire to compete in a racecar never stopped, Dominic Cicero took time off to attend to personal matters. Yet, his determination to again achieve strong results behind the wheel led him to return to Europe in 2002 to race in the UK Formula Renault Winter Series. That stint complete, he then participated in the U.S. companion series in 2003, becoming the only American to win in the series. Since that time, Dominic Cicero has continued to compete in various road racing series, running in Grand-Am and Koni Challenge, and serving as a coach to drivers, as well as developing cars for customers. His technical skills and wide range of experiences have put him in strong demand for his consulting services. Nevertheless, it has remained Dominic Cicero's goal to have the opportunity to confirm his solid driving skills with a strong and competitive race car. In 2009, he will get his chance, as he becomes co-driver of the Falken-sponsored Porsche 911 RSR which will be entered in the highly competitive GT2 class of the American LeMans Series. He will be partnered with Bryan Sellers. The RSR will run on special Falken Azenis RT Slicks, and will begin the season after the opener in Sebring. "This is a tremendous opportunity for me - competing in a headline series with a factory-run team," Dominic Cicero states. "I look forward to working with Bryan, team manager Rod Everett and the rest of the Falken team in developing this awesome Porsche RSR and earning our rightful place in the GT2 championship."
