If there was one word to describe MJ Castillo, it would be educator. MJ Castillo has a B.S. in Microbiology from California State University, Dominguez Hills, no doubt encouraged by her chemist father, who is the technology coordinator for the L.A. Unified School District, and her very supportive mother. MJ Castillo also has attended the University of Irvine's Claire Trevor School of the Arts, and has received many awards and scholarships, including being honored by USC's Rossier School of Education, receiving the Para-educator Award for Latin and Language Minority Teacher Projects. And when she's not in a classroom, MJ Castillo is educating fans of motorsports and drifting on the importance of the proper tires for their cars, as she serves as one of the key representatives of Team Falken. Many automotive enthusiasts will likely recognize MJ Castillo from her many magazine covers and her promotional work - appearing in ads for a number of automotive companies and providing information on their products to the general public. The educator still comes through every time. A native Californian, born in Long Beach and raised in Rancho Cucamonga, MJ Castillo has enjoyed plenty of international experiences, having been crowned Miss Canadian Dream Model in 2005. She also is well known in Los Angeles, serving as a feature model for the World Partnership Walk Campaign, an event supported by LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigoso. More recently, Super Street magazine voted MJ Castillo one of its top 10 models of all time. Team Falken is delighted to have her supporting its products and racing efforts around the country. |
