FONTANA, CA (Mar. 11, 2010) – Effective immediately, Falken Tire Corporation has once again become the North American distributor for Ohtsu-branded Medium Truck (MTR) tires.
Falken will launch its new MTR program by offering 14 different lines of Ohtsu medium truck products this month, and subsequently introduce new Falken branded low-rolling resistance MTR tires in the first quarter of 2011.
In order to provide the highest level of service and flexibility to its network of customers, Falken will stock all MTR products in each of its four distribution centers. Falken’s newest distribution center opened earlier this year in Irving, Texas, joining existing facilities in Fontana, Mount Juliet, TN, and Dayton, NJ, to support Falken’s rapidly expanding network of customers in North America. Falken anticipates opening a new distribution center by the end of the year of first quarter 2011.
The Ohtsu brand has garnered a quality, focused reputation in the MTR tire category, and will be a strong addition to Falken’s current product line-up. The addition of Ohtsu’s multiple MTR lines, along with numerous soon-to-launch products, helps demonstrate Falken’s continued commitment to enhancing its product offerings, as well as service levels, to its North American customer base.
