Falken Tire Takes Delivery of 2010 Porsche GT3 RSR

January 7, 2010

Team Falken Tire, the American Le Mans Series factory race team, has taken delivery of the only 2010 Porsche GT3 RSR race car shipped to North America.  The RSR is destined for competition in the grueling nine-race ALMS series this year .

The car was hand-built in Porsche’s Weissach, Germany, Motorsports facility, and was then air- freighted on a 747 cargo plane to LAX, close to Falken’s Corporate offices in Fontana, California.

The car is the latest generation water-cooled 4.0-Liter Porsche Flat six boxer engine, making 450 HP ( restricted).  The car will assist, as well as represent, Falken Tire in an aggressive tire development and racing program for the GT class in endurance racing.

Please see check back for continual updates throughout the 2010 ALMS season, with driver announcements set for the very near future.
