FALKEN Tire Places Second Overall in Tire Tests Conducted by Leading German Automotive Magazine
RANCHO CUCAMONGA – Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. (CEO: Ikuji Ikeda) is pleased to announce that the FALKEN AZENIS FK510 tire has received the second highest overall evaluation in recent tire tests conducted by AUTO BILD, one of Germany’s most popular automotive magazines.
As one of Germany’s leading automotive magazines, AUTO BILD regularly conducts comparative testing of tires that are sold by major brands in the European market. Carried out according to AUTO BILD’s original evaluation methods and standards, these tests are highly regarded by motorists throughout Europe and their results are widely considered to have a significant impact on consumer tire purchasing decisions.
In this most recent round of testing, AUTO BILD compared 52 name-brand, high-performance tires (Size: 225/50R17), comprehensively evaluating each tire in terms of handling and braking on both wet and dry road surfaces, riding comfort, rolling resistance and various other performance traits. The FALKEN brand AZENIS FK510 received the second highest overall evaluation among the tires tested.
The AZENIS FK510 is FALKEN’s flagship tire in Europe, featuring superior performance in terms of handling, braking and high-speed stability thanks to the incorporation of specialized proprietary compound and an advanced asymmetrical tread pattern design. We believe that the evaluation results of AUTO BILD’s recent tire tests serve as further proof of the outstanding overall performance of FALKEN’s European flagship tire.
