FALKEN TIRES Gains Second Place in Pro-Lite Class in Lucas Oil Off Road Regional at Glen Helen Raceway

24 Apr

SAN BERNADINO, CA – One of Team Falken’s veteran off-road racing partners, Jonathan Brenthel, earned a second-place podium during this weekend’s Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Racing Series at local Southern California home track Glen Helen Raceway, running in the Pro-Lite class.

Brenthel qualified third among eight entries and ran Saturday’s grueling event on Falken’s WILDPEAK M/T tires, earning second place during the Round 3 Lucas Oil race.

“Southern California really does have some of the greatest fans in the off-road sport, and Glen Helen was built so there is a perfect vantage point of the track from every seat, so it’s always great to race here,” Brenthel said. “It’s even better when you end up on the podium. I’m particularly grateful to my long-time sponsor Falken for providing me with the best off-road tire, the WILDPEAK, which never loses grip and always give me that additional traction when I need it.”

“This is another great finish for Falken,” added Brandon Barberena, Falken Tires’ Supervisor, Light Truck and Off-Road Events. “Jonathan is one of the two drivers who is carrying our Falken colors for us in this very competitive series this year, and we’re seeing his experience, combined with our tires, pay off nicely with his second place finish.”

The Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Racing Series is an extension of the national short course races in Arizona and Southern California. These races have seen significant increases in both fan base and participating drivers in recent years. While many consider both the Southern California and Arizona racing programs to be a feeder series to develop future pros, many of the current Lucas Oil Off Road Racing stars and series regulars participate in order to gain more experience and prepare themselves further for the national points-paying Lucas Oil events.

Rounds 4 and 5 of the Regional Series will be June 9-10 at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds in Victorville, CA, while Round 2 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (the professional program) takes place Saturday, May 19th. The 4th Annual Rockstar Energy Battle South of the Border will run at the Estero Beach Resort in Ensenada, Mexico. For more information, visit www.lucasoiloffroad.com.
