Falken Tires Powers SXOR Motorsports To Big Sky 200 Podium Finish

MONTANA (June 2026) – Falken Tires is proud to celebrate SXOR Motorsports and its impressive third-place finish at the Montana Big Sky 200 Ultra4 race on June 20. Competing in the premier 4400 class, driver Cole Johnson and co-driver Caysen Weaver overcame significant adversity to earn a hard-fought podium result while showcasing the durability and reliability of Falken’s 40-inch Wildpeak M/T Race Spec tires.
Known for its brutal terrain, sharp rocks, punishing climbs, and relentless race conditions, the Big Sky 200 is one of the most demanding events on the Ultra4 calendar. Despite the challenges, SXOR Motorsports completed the entire 205-mile race without a single flat tire or tire-related issue. Even more impressively, the same set of Falken Wildpeak M/T Race Spec tires carried the team from start to finish.

The podium result continues a remarkable streak for SXOR Motorsports, which has now completed its last three Ultra4 races with zero tire failures on Falken Wildpeak M/T Race Spec tires.
Johnson and Weaver started the race strong, immediately establishing themselves among the leaders as they battled near the front through the opening laps. During lap two, while attempting a pass for the lead, the team rolled their vehicle. Although they quickly recovered and returned to competition, the incident caused significant damage, resulting in a complete loss of brakes for the remainder of the race.

With more than 150 miles still remaining, the team relied on exceptional vehicle control, racecraft, and determination to continue pushing forward. Through careful driving and strategic race management, Johnson and Weaver maintained a competitive pace while avoiding additional issues on the demanding course.
Critical to the team’s success was the support of Sky Johnson and the SXOR Motorsports pit crew, whose efficient pit stops kept the vehicle on track and in contention throughout the event.

Against the odds, the team completed all five laps and secured a well-earned third-place finish, demonstrating resilience, teamwork, and perseverance under some of the toughest conditions in off-road racing.
“The Montana Big Sky 200 is exactly the kind of event that tests every component on a race vehicle, especially the tires,” said Eric Carlos, Supervisor, Motorsports, Falken Tires. “To complete this race with no flats, no tire failures, and on the same set of 40-inch Wildpeak M/T Race Spec tires is an incredible accomplishment. SXOR Motorsports continues to prove the durability and performance of Falken’s off-road racing program, and we’re proud to congratulate Cole, Caysen, Sky, and the entire team on another outstanding result.”
The third-place finish adds another strong result to Falken’s growing Ultra4 racing success and further demonstrates the toughness and reliability of the Wildpeak M/T Race Spec tire in the most extreme off-road racing environments.
